The Yorkshire EMC and Compliance Club is one of fourteen regional EMC clubs set up by the DTI to support companies whose products are required to comply with the EMC and other CE marking Directives. Such companies face many technical, commercial and legal problems and failure to comply could mean loss of market share throughout Europe.
The Yorkshire EMC and Compliance Club is run by YES and meets approximately four times a year at venues around the region. At the beginning of each year, the views of the members are sought and a programme of topics to be discussed is drawn up for the coming year, in line with its aims and objectives.
The 2008 programme incorporates sessions on a wide range of not only EMC issues but also those relating to other European Directives. Older programmes are also available for potential members to see the typical activities of the club:
