Thank you to all who attended our recent, special 10th Anniversary meeting and helped to make it such a success! If you look closely enough, you may even find yourself featured in one of our club photos...
The 10th anniversary meeting was the ideal opportunity to relive the last 10 years of the Yorkshire EMC Club and the evolution of EMC standards. This was provided by both Chris Marshman and Nick Wainwright of York EMC Services Ltd.
More importantly, we looked ahead to the future of the club. Peter Kerry, President of CISPR and the head of EMC at the Radiocommunications Agency kindly gave up his time to come and talk to us about recent developments in CISPR and provided some useful insight into the changes and additions we can expect to see in EMC standards in the future.
The presentations were followed by an interactive question and answer session. Also, a festive Christmas lunch at the Pavilion York was enjoyed by all.
In response to your feedback, we are delighted to announce that the Yorkshire EMC Club will start off the new year with a new name - The Yorkshire EMC and Compliance Club. Such a change in name reflects the fact that there are some 20 new directives (e.g. LVD, WEEED) and compliance in EMC is just one requirement!
