Directions to the Bristol laboratory
From the Midlands and Wales (M5 and M4), follow the M4 south to J19 and join the M32. Leave the M32 at J1, turning left (towards Kingswood) onto the ring road (A4174).
Cross the traffic lights, and go right at the roundabout (signed Downend).
Cross one set of lights, and go left at the next lights. Continue up the hill and go right at the junction at the top (yet more lights).
This is Downend. Go past the shops, fork left at the little roundabout, then keep going to the next lights, straight across by the Portcullis pub at Staple Hill.
Follow this road for about 0.5 mile/1km. Gladstone Street is a small road on the left, the 4th junction after the Portcullis.
Gladstone Drive is the small road on the left. When in Gladstone Drive, turn right at the T junction and the laboratory is in front of you.
From Bath and the M4 East:
From Bath, take the A46 to meet the A420.
From the M4, leave at J18 and take the A46 South towards Bath to meet the A420.
At the roundabout, take the A420 towards Bath.
Stay on the A420 for 5 miles, then cross the large roundabout at the ring road. Take a right at the next lights by the Tennis Court pub on the left.
Go left at the roundabout and follow the road, cross a pair of roundabouts, then go up the hill.
Turn right at the top of the hill into Soundwell Road.
Pass the large yellow pub on the right, drive 100m, and take the next turn right into Gladstone Street.
Gladstone Drive is the small road on the left. When in Gladstone Drive, turn right at the T junction and the laboratory is in front of you.
