On the 31 December 2004, the new EMC Directive (2004/108/EC) was published in the Official Journal [1].
From 20 July 2007 it will become possible to declare compliance against this new EMC directive. From 20 July 2009 it will no longer be possible to declare compliance against the old EMC directive (89/336/EEC) [2].
Hence there is a transition period from July 2007 until July 2009. Until 20 July 2007, the EMC regulations remain as now.
