
Bob is responsible for the overall operation of the Bristol laboratory.
He was Managing Director of Global Telecommunication Laboratories (GTL) at Bristol at the time of their acquisition by York EMC Services, having joined GTL in 1986. In 1992 he led a Management Buy-out of the Company from Amstrad group. He was responsible for setting up and running the EMC, LVD, Radio and Telecom test and development facilities at Bristol and for introducing the quality system.
He is now responsible for maintaining these in line with York EMC Services’ procedures and growing the laboratory’s capabilities to meet customer demands and to meet the requirements of ISO 17025 and UKAS.
His many years as a development engineer with Philips and his familiarity with electronic manufacturing processes places him in an ideal position to assist customers in solving EMC problems.
He is familiar with designing and testing to standards and aims to ensure that customers’ products can be CE marked and placed on the European or other markets speedily and efficiently.
