Castleford Laboratory
The Castleford laboratory was opened in 1996, having previously been located on the University of York campus. The laboratory is managed by Mark Render and has extensive test facilities including:-
- 10m/3m Open Area Test Site
- Anechoic chamber (18 GHz)
- Anechoic chamber (1 GHz)
- Screened room
- GTEM cell
- Van Veen loop
- Electrical Safety (LVD) laboratory
The laboratory holds UKAS accreditation for a wide range of International and European Standards. Our latest accreditation schedule is available for download from UKAS.

Equipment Forms (CEFs) are available for download which allow manufacturers
to detail their equipment and specify their requirements.
The Castleford Laboratory is located to the East of Leeds, just 5 minutes from Junction 31 of the M62. Both the A1(M) and M1 motorways are nearby making the laboratory easily accessible.
